Illegal drugs have a consistent presence in American culture. While they are glamorized on TV and in the movies, they are demonized by politicians and law enforcement. Drug use is pervasive across all social, generational, and economic boundaries. None-the-less, the penalties for drug crimes continue to escalate. Our firm has more than fifteen years of experience representing first time offenders charged with a drug crime and other related offenses:

Our primary objective in drug cases is to minimize the consequences faced by our clients. In many cases, our clients are able to avoid jail by entering into a Conditional Discharge Program. This program allows first time offenders to have their drug cases diverted from the standard criminal process. In exchange, they must complete a six-month to three-year period of supervision.

While we are dedicated to protecting our clients’ legal interests, we recognize that antagonizing prosecutors is not the most effective way to represent our clients. When appropriate, we work with prosecutors to have charges reduced, dismissed, or to minimize the consequences of a guilty plea.
